With Concentra Telemed, employees can use their computers, tablets or smartphones to connect with providers via video conferencing for diagnosis and treatment of relatively minor injuries. The program gives employees immediate access to occupational health specialists without the need to sit in a crowded waiting room.
Rather than risking exposure through a doctor’s office visit, employees can connect with health care professionals from the privacy of their own homes. Employees can use telemedicine to seek treatment and physical therapy for Grade I/II strains and sprains, bruises, minor burns, abrasions, rashes, tendonitis and other repetitive use injuries.
If a telemedicine patient requires in-person care, they can continue treatment at a nearby Concentra medical facility with minimal delay. Employees receive the benefit of telemedicine without giving up the option of hands-on care.

As part of a return-to-work evaluation, Concentra Telemed may be used to evaluate employees who tested positive for or were potentially exposed to COVID-19. This service is available in Concentra medical centers during clinic hours.
Concentra Telemed can treat minor injuries that don’t require an in-person physical examination. These include initial injuries like Grade I/II strains and sprains, bruises or contusions, minor burns, and more (see Concentra’s FAQ sheet for a full list). Concentra Telemed also supports routine first aid and rechecks (when recovery is progressing and hands-on procedures are not needed).
It varies depending on what treatment an employee needs. There’s no time spent traveling to a center or sitting in the waiting room.
Concentra Telemed is currently available in all states except New York, North Dakota, South Dakota, Washington and Wyoming.
