Tracy Schmeltzer joined Church Mutual as a messenger clerk in February 1989. She moved to underwriting in 1990 and was promoted to underwriter in September 1997. Schmeltzer was promoted to underwriting supervisor in April 2006, underwriting manager in 2016 and director-special business unit in 2018. She was promoted to assistant vice president-camps, agency and groups in January 2022. Her responsibilities include oversight and strategic direction of the camps, agency and groups center of excellence.
Schmeltzer earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Upper Iowa University. She has also earned two professional designations, Associate in Insurance Services (AIS) and Associate in Insurance (AINS).
Schmeltzer was on the founding board for Church Mutual’s women’s leadership initiative.
She is a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Merrill, Wisconsin.
